Kitchen Remodeling Small Steps Making Big Impacts by Aazdak Alisimo

We all have big plans for our kitchens, but few of us have big dollars to carry out those plans. Fortunately, small changes can make a big impact when it comes to your kitchen.

While everyone would love to completely remodel their kitchen space, sometimes this just isn't possible. Still, your kitchen can take on a whole new appearance with a few smart and simple kitchen designs. To begin, look around your kitchen, what do you see? Make a note of all the things that you would like to change. Next, think about the things that you can change without spending a lot of money.

You may not be able to knock down walls, but you can certainly replace curtains, paint cabinets, touch up the walls, and maybe even purchase some new appliance. Believe it or not, even the small things will make a difference when you put your mind to it. For example, try to add some antique canisters to your kitchen counter top this simple addition will change the way that your kitchen looks and feels.

If you are planning on replacing your curtains, opt for an entirely different color scheme, and then paint your walls (or consider borders) to match. Should you be able to spend a bit more money, you may want to think about replacing the floors (tile can become wood, you can add rugs to wood, or you can simply paint a solid floor surface). Go ahead and flip through various decorating magazines in order to find ideas, you never know what you may come across.

The trick to decorating on a budget is to really hunt around (of course, a bit of ingenuity won't hurt either). Spend a few hours every week scouring the shelves of local kitchen and decorating stores if you look on the bargain rack, you can find some truly great items. Also, contemplate putting some items into your kitchen that aren't deemed kitchen items. You never know how great a painting may look on the wall next to the fridge unless you try it!

If you follow these tips, you will find that your kitchen will come to life once again without breaking the bank. Don't rush in to changing your kitchen all around. Instead, take the time to really think about the things that you want, and choose only those items that you love (no matter what room they are supposed to belong in!).
